January 29, 2023: The Open Door

Stepping through the open door of the chest and heart of Jesus is choosing to submit your will and values to the way Jesus loved mankind. You are putting on the Christ that hung at Calvary. This open door into the chest and bosom of Jesus exposes us to great power and authority with God for experiencing fortitude in relational suffering. Without fortitude, we cannot hold on to the harvest of souls God gives us. Real fortitude comes from the power of Calvary’s death. We go through this door to embrace the power of fortitude. We need the fortitude to wait on God when He delays his promises. We need fortitude when God allows losses and failed expectations like He did Mary, who saw her brother Lazarus die. But we must go into the chest or open door of Jesus hanging on the cross. He has risen to give us power, but we must decompose any conduct unlike Christ in us so that life can spring out of us to reach the lost and grow saints.

“But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for the flesh (Romans 13:14, AMPC).

The TPT version says, “So we must once and for all strip away what is done in the shadows of darkness, removing it like filthy clothes.” And once and for all, we clothe ourselves with the radiance of light as our weapon. We must live honorably, surrounded by the light of this new day, not in the darkness of drunkenness and debauchery, not in promiscuity and sensuality, not being argumentative or jealous of others. Instead, fully immerse yourselves into the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, and don’t waste even a moment’s thought on your former identity to awaken its selfish desires.

When we decompose selfishness, fear, anger, lust, impatience, and resentment inside our hearts, we will experience God’s joy and power.

When you step inside the door of Jesus, you experience:

  • Real intercession that is a result of the fruit of intimacy with Jesus.

  • Greater passion for the heart of Jesus towards family and souls.

  • Courage and boldness to confront evil with the anointing of resurrection power.

  • Worship and praise that nothing on earth can compete with.
