Pray for our pastors’ time to be prioritized, that even on the busiest days, they would be able to begin their day in prayer and have time in the Word. Let us pray against every distraction and corruptive thought. Pray that our pastors’ minds would stay fixed on the Lord, upon whatever is pure and lovely and of good report. Pray that God’s plan for every church would prevail and that He would grant them an ever-increasing spirit of prayer and intercession, deep convictions and high morals standards, and that they would not tolerate compromise.

Pray that God would bestow upon them a crown of beauty instead of ashes. Pray God would anoint them with the oil of gladness instead of mourning and that they clothe themselves with a garment of praise and that God would remove every form of discouragement and depression. Let us call our pastor “an oak of righteousness, the planting of the Lord” to display His splendor (Isaiah 61:3).

Pray that God would use our pastors to renew our churches, and He would effectively use them to promote evangelism and holiness. Pray that the Lord would grant them favor and fruitfulness and would give them the land upon which they walk. Pray that He also would bless their preaching with apostolic results and for signs and wonders to follow.

We need to pray that we stand against the enemy and not become complacent or apathetic. There needs to be thirst and hunger upon us daily, and we do not falter in this spiritual battle. As laborers, we must put on the shield of faith and stand united to defeat the enemy in these last days.
