Whenever a country goes off to battle, every soldier knows that the focus of their mission is to hunt down and take out the leader of the enemy army. These soldiers understand that if there is no leader, there will be no one to direct the battle, and the enemy soldiers will flounder without a plan. So, too, Satan seeks to attack the leadership of the Church most viciously and unrelentingly. Like when Aaron and Hur lifted the arms of Moses and the Israelite army prevailed in battle (Exodus 17), it is our job to lift the arms of our pastors in prayer that they might have victory as well.

1. Pray that Lord’s eyes would be upon our shepherds, church leaders, and churches and that His ears would be open to their prayers. Pray that His face would be against those who plot evil against them and that no weapon formed against them would prosper. We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28), and in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him, that loved us (Romans 8:37).

2. Pray the favor, authority, and harvest of the Lord belong to our pastors and leaders. Pray that God would teach us to do our part in helping and serving in any area where there is a need and that trustworthy men and women of God would surround our pastors and lift them in anointed prayer to encourage them that they might mount up on wings as eagles and soar.
