But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  Acts 1:4-8

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in the earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.  Matthew 28:18-19

As the present-day Church, we must grasp that the very same power that the early Church operated in is also living inside of us. Once we understand this, it will change how we look at every situation we face. When we take on the name of Jesus, we become ambassadors working under His authority. His power transfers to us! Anything that Jesus did in His ministry, we have access to as His children.
As we hit our knees in prayer, we need to remind ourselves that all power in heaven and earth is ours, according to His will. Go boldly before the throne! He has commissioned us to do His work and to see His will unfold. Any trial or sickness that comes against us, we have the authority to cast it out when we speak the name of Jesus over it. Be confident in this, that God has entrusted us with His power, and He makes no mistakes.
