Praying for Peace

Seek peace, and pursue it

Psalm 34:14

The Lord, our Prince of Peace, desires to give us peace in our lives:

Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means.

II Thessalonians 3:16

It is something He really wants us to have, yet so many live in fear and confusion. These emotions do not come from God, for He “is not the author of confusion, but of peace” as it says in I Corinthians 14:33.

Peace is a fruit of the Spirit, and as a Spirit-filled believer, we must exhibit it in our lives. Our world desperately needs what we possess and what the Lord offers.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid

John 14:27

Personal peace in our hearts and minds.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Phillippians 4:7

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,

Colossians 3:15

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Isaiah 26:3
