Prayer Focus for October 25, 2020

2020 U.S. Elections

In the midst of national crisis and uncertainty, it is essential that we fervently intercede for the upcoming 2020 U.S. presidential and congressional elections.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

II Chronicles 7:14

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray for those who are candidates in the upcoming presidential and congressional elections. Intercede that God’s will be done regarding whomever He desires to fill the open positions of these offices, as well as other vacancies. His Word declares in Psalm 75:7 “But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”
  2. Pray that God would allow honorable and righteous men and women to be elected to the numerous positions available. Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”
  3. Pray that voters would look beyond personal biases and to that which most honors God and represents Biblical values and His interests and desires for this nation.
  4. Pray that believers in America would genuinely unite around God’s agenda, and not party affiliation.
